The realisation of La Chaumière Mountain Lodge is the culmination of a family dream. We have a long history of managing hotels and restaurants across Europe and our unique experience and expertise has enabled us to create this home from home in the heart of the Chamonix Valley. Following a refurbishment programme, La Chaumière continues to have the sporty and relaxed atmosphere developed by its former owners, but now has a fresh Scandinavian touch!

There are 25 rooms, all with ensuite shower, basin and loo and spectacular views of Mont Blanc or Brevent. We have spacious double and twin rooms as well as three or four bed rooms for families or other small groups and many have their own balconies.The large windows give a very light and airy feel throughout. We offer you a free WiFi access in all hotel rooms and public areas.

La Chaumière is a 10-15 minute stroll into the centre of town and just minutes from the pretty lake and climbing crag of "Les Gaillands". 
There is a bus and train stop only 50 metres from the hotel. The sunny garden and terrace overlook the Mont Blanc and there is off-road parking.

Excellent food is a central part of our concept. Our menu offers international classics with a local Savoyard touch. Our half board package includes a generous breakfast buffet and three course dinners. During the high season we also serve à la carte and take away lunches. Breakfast is not just about refueling for the day's activities, its also a chance to plan and organise! On that note, we will be happy to inform you about the day's weather forecast and to give you some suggestions for hiking, choosing the ski-area or anything else that might be of interest.

Half board is totally hassle free, there is no rush or stress involved in booking tables after a long day in the mountains. The bread at La Chaumière is delivered daily by the local boulangerie and our salads and herbs come fresh from the market. Main courses and desserts are all locally sourced and cooked to the highest standards. Our menus are complimented by our excellent wine list which offers a range of elegant French and Italian wines.

The relaxed Bar area offers everything from après ski through to aperitif and digestive! It is a comfortable, welcoming room that also serves as the living room for our hotel and external guests. It is the perfect place to unwind after a long day in the mountains. Here, you can share your stories, browse through our library of books and games, or simply, sit back and enjoy the views over a well-earned drink.

To be able to ski on the last day, having had to check out of your room, there is a shower room for your use and the hotel will store your luggage.

The helpful and friendly staff can give you daily advice about ski conditions in the winter, hiking and mountaineering in the summer. Daily and detailed weather forecasts are also available at the reception.
